Can I move out? Helping Mom get ready for the Tour of Homes has been a challenge. We have spent a countless numbers of hours getting the house ready. Cleaning, rearranging, and cleaning some more. Dad has been doing little finishing things around the house that mom has wanted done for years.

She has been going nuts digging out totes and boxes full of many Christmas decorations. Mom called in help from our family “interior decorator”. My aunt came up from Mitchell one Saturday to help get the decorating done. She ended up bringing more totes and decorations along. WOW! What a mess. By the time my aunt left, Mom felt a little more relaxed about having people look through her house. Decorating still needs to be done, but they are things that can be managed in smaller pieces. I can’t wait to see how things come together in December.
